Chinka Steel - Principal

Chinka graduated in a Bachelor of Laws at Melbourne University on 12 April 1969 and on 15 August 1970, also at Melbourne University, graduated from a Bachelor of Commerce.
Chinka was admitted to Practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria on 15 August 1970.
For almost 40 years Chinka has operated successfully as a Sole Practitioner in the Macedon Ranges after some initial years in the corporate sector. |

Shane McClure - Solicitor

Shane is the newest member of Chinka (HEP) Steel having commenced with the Team in September 2010. Shane was admitted to Practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria on 16 February 2010.
Shane accumulated a wealth of legal experience and skills during his studies by working and volunteering at such places as the ANZ Bank, Monash Oakleigh Legal Services, Villamanta Disability Rights Legal Service and other Melbourne firms.
Shane brings to the Chinka (HEP) Steel Team not only experience and professionalism, but also a fresh perspective and enthusiasm. Shane can assist you with Family Law matters including property, children and defacto, Criminal Law, Civil Litigation, Children’s Court matters, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Business related matters. |

Sindy Stevens - Legal Executive/Practice Manager

Sindy is in her 11th year working with Chinka, having commenced in 2000. Throughout those years Sindy has undertaken many training courses and in 2006 Sindy undertook legal subjects at Victoria University allowing her on 7 September 2006, to be admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (Victoria).
Throughout the past 11 years Sindy has accumulated a wealth of knowledge not only as a Legal Executive, but also in Legal Practice Management.
Sindy assists Chinka in the areas of Family Law including property, children and defacto relationships, Estate Administration including challenging and defending Wills, Victims of Crime, Wills, Powers of Attorney and some business related matters, as well as undertaking the role of Practice Manager. |

Susannah Giddings - Conveyancing Clerk

Susannah has been working with Chinka for in excess of 8 years and is the Team Conveyancing Clerk.
Susannah has a very wide and varied range of experience in all conveyancing areas and under Chinka’s direction can assist you with all of your Conveyancing needs. |

Shireen Tunn - Senior Law Clerk

Shireen is in her 5th year working with Chinka and has gained many invaluable skills during that time.
Under Chinka’s direction, Shireen is now focusing on Family Law Property and Children’s matters as well as Estate matters, Victims of Crime and many other general items that arise from time to time. |

Joanne Forde - Senior Law Clerk

Joanne has been working with Chinka for almost 2 years and has brought with her several years experience in the legal world.
With Chinka’s direction, Joanne is now focusing on Commercial Leases, Business matters including sale and purchase and non standard conveyancing, as well as assisting with all other areas of law. |

Elyse Cuzzilla - Junior Law Clerk

Elyse has been with the Chinka (HEP) Steel Team since mid 2008 when she undertook a work experience placement.
Elyse then commenced coming to the office after school each day to attend to various tasks. Elyse completed Year 12 in late 2010 and is now working part time whilst she completes her University Justice Course.
Elyse assists all members of staff with varying roles. |

April Homewood - Office Assistant

April commenced working with Chinka in November 2010.
April comes to the office each day after school and during school holidays to assist the HEP Steel Team with various tasks.
April attends Gisborne Secondary College and is in year 10. |
